Potato Chips are so loved that they are served at almost any time of the day. They act as a source of happiness and comfort for the soul, I mean who doesn’t love potato chips. Even when they say that it is not good for you, you just gotta have a few bites of these.
Now this one is one of the easiest foods to prepare. Even if you cannot cook, all you need to do is time these in the hot oil and remove them when the time is up. Haha….
This is how simple they are to make!
Peel the potatoes and cut them crosswise with your crinkle cutter.
Sprinkle salt, paprika, and oregano. If you do not have oregano, just use basil, parsley or thyme leaves. Or just use the one you have and you are good to go!
2 medium Irish potatoes or 1/2 lb (Peeled and sliced with crinkle cutter)
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Teaspoon Paprika
2 Teaspoons Oregano (dried flakes)
1 cup vegetable oil
Peel and wash potatoes and place them on a cutting board.
Using crinkle cutter, cut each slice into 1/8 inch thick slices. Or just as thin as you want them. No fuss in trying to get them to all look the same. That can be a bit of a challenge, but no one really notices when it’a time to eat! Ha! How about that!
Toss the powdered ingredients on the potato fries and mix them together to get them to have even distribution of the spices.
Heat a small frying pan on the stove with the oil for two minutes and then lower the flames under it to medium heat.
Fry the potatoes until golden brown. Watch constantly and turn to get the desired result. The amount of time it takes for them to fry depends on the thickness of each and the level of heat under them.
Serve hot! and do enjoy. I server with both ketchup and thousand island dressing. Oh so delish!!!
