This post will get straight to the point and tell you how to mix the different essential oil solutions to use to get rid of the bugs that may be a bother to you.

Most of the mixtures were tested tactically on the bugs and ingredients were adjusted to be as effective as possible in causing either instant death of the insect when it touches them or repelling them if the mixture is spread around the house.

Silverfish

For this, you will need 1 cup of water, 1 cup white vinegar, 1 tablespoon boric acid, 8 drops of Tea Tree Oil, 8 drops of Lavender Oil.

Mix in a spray bottle and let them have it if they are in sight. If not spray in the areas where they may travel or lodge.

 

Love Bugs: Love bugs hate peppermint oil. In a spray bottle, mix 1/2 cup rubbing alcohol, cup water and 15 drops of peppermint essential oil. Spray all over the areas you do not want them to land as they ten to be always I clusters and just get annoying. They will avoid the areas plastered with peppermint.

Mice: Place a few drops of peppermint essential oil onto a cotton ball and leave it in the corners and the areas that the mice tend to travel. Replenish the cotton ball every two or three days for about 4 weeks and you should have no mice problems for a while. They always return so be prepared.

Mosquitoes: Peppermint, Eucalyptus, Thyme, Cinnamon, Rosemary, lavender, and lemongrass essential oils can be used to repel mosquitoes. To Make a repellent for your skin: Mix 1/4 cup of rubbing alcohol with 1 tablespoon olive oil, add ten drops of any of these essential oils and give it a good shake. Apply to your skin when needed. This was not tested on babies so seek advice from your doctor if your baby is 0 to 6 years old.

Flies:  One way to get rid of flies is to stick some cloves into a lemon that was cut in half and place it on the tables and counters where the flies are swarming. They really hate the scent of cloves and they also hate lemon. When both are combined it makes the environment really bad for flies. On the other hand, you can make a mixture of 1/2 cup of rubbing alcohol and 10 drops of lemon or orange essential oil, add 6 drops of clove essential oil and shake it up in a spray bottle. You may also use peppermint, Eucalyptus, Geranium, Cedarwood, Patchouli, Melaleuca, and Rosemary essential oils.

Spider: Peppermint, Spearmint, Orange, Lemon, and Lime essential oils can be mixed as follows: 1/2 cup water 1/2 cup white vinegar and 15 drops of any of these essential oils. Spray directly on the spider and in the corners of the house to prevent them from returning.

Squash Bug: A solution of neem oil mixed with water can also chase out the Squash bugs and prevent other insects from invading your farm or garden. Spread the solution both on the plants and on the ground around the plants. Squash vine borers, spider mites and a ton of other insects will also be all gone with the same solution.

Measure 5 ml (1 tsp) neem oil, 2 teaspoon dawn dish soap or other detergents (optional) and 1 liter (1 quart) warm water.

Mix all ingredients in a spray bottle and apply to plants and the ground around them.
Now you have more solutions than you need all at once – to get those disgusting buggers!!!

 

Ticks: Oregano and Thyme essential oils can be mixed as follows: 20 drops with 1/2 cup warm water, 1/4 cup vinegar. Spray infested area. If on pets, use 15 drops with 1 cup water, 2 tablespoon salt and 1 teaspoon dish soap. Spray on pet and leave on for an excellent result. Spray all around the house and yard to kill the

 Fleas: Peppermint, Lemongrass, and Spearmint essential oils can be mixed in a spray bottle as follows: 1/2 cup water 1/2 cup rubbing alcohol and 15-20 drops of any of these essential oils.

Ants: Peppermint- mix 10 drops of peppermint oil and 1 cup of water and 1/2 teaspoon dish soap in a spray bottle. Spray in corners and anywhere the ants will travel. If sprayed directly on ants, they will die immediately.

Cockroaches: Peppermint, Eucalyptus, tea tree oil. Mix 15 drops with 1 cup water, 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol and 1 teaspoon dish soap in a spray bottle. Spray all areas infested

Snails: cedarwood and pine essential oils can solve your snail problems. Mix 10 drops to a cup of water and spray them of the areas they like to lodge.

Beetles: Peppermint and thyme essential oils can be mixed as follows: 1 cup water to 20 drops of any of these oils.

Aphids: Peppermint, Spearmint, Sandalwood. Any of these can be mixed as follows: 15 drops with 1/2 cup water and 1 teaspoon dish soap. The dish soap will melt and essential oil and cause an emulsification of oil and water.

Scorpions: Lavender, tea tree, or citrus. Mix 1/2 cup of warm water with 15 drops of any of these essential oils then let the scorpion have it if it is in sight. For sure fatality, add some dish soap, about 1 teaspoon. He will not sting thereafter!

Stink Bugs: A basic soap water solution is effective in killing stink bugs, however, if you really want to exercise your essential expertise, use 10 drops of peppermint essential oil in a cup of water mixed in a spray bottle.

Yellow Jackets: Make a mixture of 1 cup warm or hot water, 20 drops mint essential oil, mix in a spray bottle and attack the nest in the night when all are gathered and resting. Ensure the spray bottle is able to mist properly and that it will spray at a good enough distance that you can be at least nine inches away from the nest or a distance that it will not be too easy for you to be attacked. Cover the entire nest with all the Yellow Jackets and move away.

Gnats and fruit flies: Mix 1 cup of apple cider vinegar into a bowl with 2 teaspoons of dish soap. Place the bowl in the way of the flies and they will dive in and drown. Alternatively, you can mix 1 cup rubbing alcohol with 16 drops of any citrus oil essential. Place in a spray bottle and hit them out of the air.

You may also mix 10 drops of peppermint or 6 drops of clove essential oil along with 7 drops of citrus oil to 1/2 cup vinegar and plaster on all the counters to get rid of them from the surrounding.
